The Scholarship

The Fitchburg Design Fund supports the study & practice of design in our local community. It awards an annual scholarship to a Fitchburg High School senior pursuing a college degree in design at either Mount Wachusett Community College or Fitchburg State University. It is a one-time scholarship of $1,000, given to the student to use at their discretion towards the cost of college. Students will be selected based on the quality of their work and letter of recommendation — there is no essay required.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a graduating senior currently enrolled in Fitchburg High School

• Submit a completed application by April 15th of the year applying, containing:

  • A letter of recommendation from a teacher.

  • 3 examples of your work.

  • Proof of college acceptance as a design major for the Fall semester.

• Applicants may be asked to interview with the Scholarship Committee.
